Sea Glass Reimagined

Where Time, Nature, and Art Converge.

Fragments of Time, Echoes of the Tide

On a historic Normandy beach, where the tides once carried the echoes of D-Day, a fragment of sea glass, tossed and rolled by waves, became the beginning of an artistic journey. Each shard carries a story of relentless tides, slow erosion, and enduring trace of human life.

The Ocean’s Hidden Palette

Decades of creation, and yet these fragments remained, their colors and shapes sculpted by time and by the waves. Today, what was once discarded is reborn as sculpture: rare, luminous, and laden with memory.

Alexandre Laigner

Using sea glass as his medium, his artistic practice is rooted in the explorations of memory and nature.

For twenty years, his mind wandered between theatre, music, and painting, yet he always returned to the fragments of the ocean. Today, from the shores of Normandie to the exhibition space, he transforms them into poetic forms where nature, memory, and art converge.

“To be whole” — his motto, his quest, or his desire?
