Alexandre Laigner — The Journey
Alexandre Laigner has always explored the languages of art. His early immersion in theater at the age of seven offered him an intimate understanding of human emotion and narrative. At twenty-three, he joined the prestigious Classe Libre at the Florent School, affirming a sensibility attuned to stage and speech.
His path then expanded into the world of cinema. In 2012, he played the leading role in A.L.F. (Animal Liberation Front)a socially engaged crime film addressing animal rights, which earned him several acting awards in the United States and in Italy. Between 2005 and 2018, as a singer songwriter of three Pop Rock Folk demo albums, Alexandre was also developing his painting practice, and his works were exhibited as early as 2006 at the Galerie du Vert Galant on the Île de la Cité in Paris.
This creative plurality now culminates in sea glass, a material he has collected for over twenty years on the Normandy beaches of his childhood. His sculptures question the memory of elements, human trace, and the metamorphosis of time.
Since 2025, Alexandre Laigner has been a member of the Taylor Foundation as a sculptor.
“To be whole”, his motto, his quest, or his desire?

An incredible friend,
Alexandre Laigner
a timeless soul,
able to perceive the slightest richness of heart
or mind in one, without ever judging
the sudden poverty of another.
A Story, A Collaboration
In the artistic quest, some encounters become invisible forces. Virginie Lefranc embodies this rare presence: attuned to subtle beauty, respectful of nature, she has transformed a simple walk into a creative act.
Gathering sea glass is no longer an ordinary gesture, but a meditation, a way to connect humanity with the ocean and the memory of matter. Her collaboration goes beyond collecting; it contributes to the poetic impulse that gives meaning to each work, embedding in the process the values of time, patience, and generosity.
Thus, behind every sculpture lies this silent complicity, this dialogue between two visions united by the same idea: to let matter speak, to reveal the poetry hidden in what was once cast away.
After all, casting a bottle into the sea… is only human.
